Soft Shades
I´m so fed up with winter. I pictured spending Easter sitting in the backyard drinking tea and reading magazines, and while spending it indoors hasn´t been all that bad, I would now like a change. Since I am fed up with dressing for the cold weather, I ended up spending the day wearing a comfy old dress and hoody and constantly throwing new logs in the fireplace. Hence no outfit photo. And after many days of closed shops I feel like going thrift shopping again at my usual places. Instead I spent the time browsing the fall runway shows once again, and this time it was the soft shades that was brought to my attention, probably because I long for spring so much. I´d like to find garments in soft sades like light pink and peach, I´d like ruffles and sheer materials and I´d like oversized sequins and soft knits.

Christopher Kane, Luella and Rodarte.

I’ve been dying for a pretty pink dress, I finally found a lovely vintage crochet on eBay, only to forget to bid on it! It ended without being sold.
Can’t wait to see your take on it!

Isn’t it tragic how long spring is taking to come along! I know exactly how you feel and cant wait to wear single layers and soft colors.

Ahh herlige sommer pasteller! mmm…
Takk!
That’s fashion!

i’m very much for toned down shades as well, for the moment. i’m opting for soft shaded clothing and striking accessories.

I det siste har det vært utrolig mye grått og svart i motebildet så det er litt deilig med lyse ting til en avveksling!

I am so over winter too, and loving the faded pastels at the moment. I just keep layering them, thinking that at least the shade will get me closer to spring… and yes, it snowed in Helsinki today. Great blog, btw, hope you don’t mind that I’ve added you to my links.

Spring is here. I see green things poking out of the ground already. This soft look is interesting. I’d like to see how someone puts it together on the street, without looking completely washed out and boring. Interesting how this contrasts with the bright flashes of color that are also in style this year. Agathe, do you think you’ll be putting together a scrap book?

Those soft shades are so feminine and beautiful, I love the collection of clothing you have picked, its almost like a sorbet kind of combination :)

i am glad to tell you that after 201 street style photo romances in Paris, i’ve been proposed to create a press magazine about street styles from the world.
50 000 copies in Paris, then…
My own vision is to humanize fashion through street style photo romances.
Now, I have to create a network of passionated blogs for the content
I’ll be glad to exchange links for helping me (collaborating ?) to show that fashion comes from street and style gives personality.
I’ll be so happy to make it a successful magazine to launch it after in other countries with other collaborators.
clic the english flag to read some photo romances in english
Thank you for your collaboration
best regards

It’s snowing like hell at my place :((( now we have cold winter since september and summer wasn’t warm enough to wear such floating layered pastels. So depressing when weather forces you to dress in a way you don’t want to- I nearly got no more ideas left what to wear *despear*
Argentina, Australia here I come!

I was inspired by your pictures (especially the Luella one) to wear a suede skirt in a similar color with that kind of opaque tights: http://www.shopaholic.ro/2008/03/outfit-for-today_26.html (and a larger picture of the outfit: http://bp1.blogger.com/_LTQdlJEyLHs/R-qBivD_kwI/AAAAAAAABvM/Z4BN-C0L3vM/s1600-h/ck.jpg)
