H&M
Filed in: Accessories, Fashion, Shopping
H&M used to be the ultimate shop for me, I stopped by at least once a week not to miss all the good stuff. Then it something changed and I usually only got my thrills from secondhand shopping. Just this morning, on my way to work, I thought about how I rarely stopped by H&M anymore, how I usually never found anything in particular when I did, and how I maybe should just stop going there all together. Then, when I got home, I saw a picture of an H&M dress I liked. It´s the same print as I´ve already got a shirt and a bikini in, and the dress looked like just perfect. Floor length but not floral as I have trouble finding florals I really love. I ran off to H&M with a feeling of excitement, afraid that it would already be sold out. The dress wasn´t there. As far as I can tell it hasn´t come to Norway yet. But even though I didn´t get the thrill of finding the dress of my dreams, I found a nice little frilly white scarf. Nothing too special really, but it reminded me of the images I picked yesterday with the soft shades and suddenly spring didn´t feel too far away after all. Only that was a little thrill in itself. Now I just hope I snatch the dress too before it´s all gone.
The rings had to go when I went outside and discovered that huge cocktail rings didn´t go well under mittens, and mittens are a must now that it´s snowing sideways.

I like the way you write, Agathe. Very clear, and not at all as English-as-a-second-language.

Really cute scarf! I want to get one of it myself :) I would love to have one like that to my leather jacket!

Thank you Nina! I usually write as I speak, with few words, it often makes people think I am very shy. ;) Though I am to some extent and this was a long post for me! And thanks about the English, I know a little Norwegian sounding English pop up now and then, but I would go crazy if I was to fuzz about every little word!
Katrín, good idea with the leather jacket! It´s not as flat looking as in the picture, white is hard to photograph, at least in poor lighting.

That scarf is really lovely. I go back and forth with enjoying stores and secondhand places as well. It is nice to find the same piece in a variety of sizes in a store.

Huge cocktail rings work best with fingerless gloves!

I think I know which dress you mean, and I’ve seen it at the online shop. I can’t seem to find it right now, but it’s definately been at the Norwegian H&M site.

I love this scarf! I get that way about H&M also - some seasons it is full of great stuff, and others it’s just not up to standard!

I have the same feeling now, I get more of a rush going charity shopping than visiting topshop and h&m which is a surprising but welcome change. I love the scarf by the way, hope you get you dress.

What a great summery scarf. I, too, go back and forth between only vintage shopping and regular store shopping. It seems to go in phases.

Ooh, that is a great scarf :)
Very similar vibe to the Spring images you posted.
Such a shame there is no H&M in Australia!

i adore the scarf. it’s simple but adds so much volume.

that is indeed a lovely scarf. in august i gave up h&m because i was just so impulsive there, but now, i try to go in there, and nothing seems to capture my imagination…
i think it’s more fun to find second hand and indie…

I’m not sure we’re talking about the same dress, I know a girl got it only yesterday, and I’ve never seen that dress online, although I’ve seen several other long dresses… At least I hope it’s not the same one.

What a cute scarf! Haven’t seen that one here yet. And oh yes, the weather is a mess here in Helsinki, too. I’m so sick of the snow, I want to wear my spring clothes already! :D

D, I stopped by H&M again today and asked for the dress, and they said they hadn´t gotten it yet. They remembered the other garments with the same print so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
SoulTanggg, it´s been crappy weather, at least to be the end of March, but it´s going to change soon. :)
The scarf was really affordable for those of you who want it, and I doubt it will sell out too fast either as it´s kind of hard to tell what it is when it´s hanging on the wall.

[…] at Style Bytes, the gorgeous Agathe has fallen out of love with H&M but still manages to find something […]

you have a blouse in the same abstract pattern i think. if it is that dress it was online for a few hours and got sold out on the same day. but it might still be in stores.

but if you post a picture of the dress, maybe a reader has it and can sell it to you. you have readers all over the world.
