Rouge Noir
I got a new dress today and celebrated by getting Chanel´s Hydrabase Rouge Noir lipstick. It´s a nice change from my Barcelona Red and gives a more dramatic look. I believe it´s cutting the bangs that is making me wear lipstick so often all of a sudden. My eyes are hidden under my hair and no matter how much eye makeup I wear, it hardly makes a difference. Lipstick however…

That’s a gorgeous shade and goes well with your nailpolish.

Agathe, not only that! After you got the bangs, your blog kinda changed too - you dress more lady-like and less punky (and I loved your urban outfits as well), and as many times I commented before, your photographs changed the same way, became more glamorous and thematic.

You have perfect lips for red lipstick!

Nina, haha, I think one thing is that I don´t look pissed in the photos anymore when I don´t smile. The bangs makes it easier to look OK without having to smile all the time. It has made me relax more with the photos. And the bangs is more a part of the outfits than my old hair which was just hanging there… :P
Thanks to all!

I know what you mean about the bangs.
I got heavy bangs just like yours 3 years ago and then is when I started using lipstick.
It seems like my face looks nude if I only apply eyeliner and mascara.

I love red lipstick in general and I adore it on you!

Yep, bangs give you ‘attitude’ without having to try at all! But they demand lipstick, I know this for myself. ;)
They are a statement, whether you realize it or not. They somehow make people take notice.
GREAT color on that lipstick!

Mmm… den har jeg også. Pass bare på å sjekke i speilet ganske ofte, for den er så mørk at den har tendens til å bli litt skjoldete etter en stund. Men den er så lekker! :)

i’m going through exactly the same phase myself. and it is so much fun to play with lipstick. i still think it is under used.

Agathe I love this photo!
Chanel should hire you for their lipstick campaign or at least give you a lifetime supply of it. As for the fringe I started cutting mine last summer I used to let it cover my eyes but it turned into a safety issue. considering I have to drive at fast speeds in California roadways I need to be able to see. I still get to show off my eye make-up but you can have our spring weather I don’t like it. Too hot makes your make-up melt and you can’t wear such cool clothes while sweating.

I started wearing tons of fun lipstick when i cut my bangs into ones like yours too! I completely agree about your theory :)
I like to wear dark purples, oranges, bright reds, blood reds, etc. it’s so much fun to wear funky lipstick!!!

Was the new dress you got the sought-after H&M one?
March 29th, 2008 at 7:51 am
Haha, man skal aldri stole på slike damer i butikkene! :) Leppepomade under kan funke, eller å legge den med pensel - noe jeg forøvrig er altfor lat til å gjøre, men kanskje det har sin funksjon akkurat i dette tilfellet.

K, no, I bought another dress at H&M instead, and now I don´t think of the other one anymore! This one is long too, but dark gray, it´s the cut that makes it awesome.
Glamourbibliotekaren, man skulle virkelig tro hun var fargeblind, men det er det vel bare gutter som blir…

Please don’t take this the wrong way but I’d love to have your money problems! We’re doing well right now and I couldn’t even think of buying Chanel lipstick. Do you have budgeting secrets you could share or bank robbing tips? ;)

Rose, right now I am spending money that is supposed to go for airplane tickets to Stockholm that just haven´t been withdrawn from my account yet…

I love rouge noir, both for lips and nail! This is a love at first sight for me, now it’s impossible for me imaginate my daily make up without it. Looks so gorgeous with my pale skin and great way for a natural diva style.
March 30th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
Ahh yes. We do that sometimes too. Borrow form Peter to pay Paul and all that. Well, how can anything in Stockholm be better then Chanel anyway? ;) Oh and I was wondering, have you ever been to the States?
March 30th, 2008 at 4:11 pm
Alice, I told my husband I wanted the nail polish too, just in case he´d like to surprise me sometime. ;)
Rose, nope, never even been outside of Europe, but I have traveled a bit within the continent at least. :) Someday though…

I’ve got the rouge noir nailpolish, didn’t know it came in lipstick as well. You look great with lipstick! I always feel that I look like a little girl dressing up when I try on lipstick myself… maybe I should consider getting bangs too.
