Sweet Saturday

Filed in: DIY, Designers, Fashion, Secondhand, Shoes, Shopping

I woke up this morning with a lot lighter mood and planned on wearing my new dress along with a vintage fur coat. I jumped in the shower and got ready. Then I looked out the window - it was pouring. The day didn´t at all end up as planned, just much better. We started with breakfast at Hotel Havana. They have the best sandwiches in the world, no doubt. Then we took the tram over to the west side of the city and went to Tonica. The women there for some reason love my husband. They keep finding him stuff and giving him crazy discounts. He bought an Yves Saint Laurent blazer that he got dirt cheap. I felt a little left out as I didn´t find anything at all. I had my eye on a feather collar, but it was Tonica´s personal belonging.

Then we continued shopping other places and I got some things intended for DIY projects, as well as another pair of shoes at Zara. Now I can forget about the ones I was waiting so patiently for, but it´s no biggie.

We took the tram over to the east side of the city where I got some more craft supplies. Yellow taffata that I am going to use for a D&G inspired dress and some other things. After that it was dinner at Punjab Tandoori. Lamb Karhai and a beer for a few dollars. Yummy. I was so stuffed afterwards it felt like I rolled my way home.

This evening, unless I hear of some fun party, I´m going to spend working on my DIY projects.

I love the star-patterned fabric! I have a schoolbag in almost the same material.

Your husband is so lucky to have that YSL blazer!

  2. mica Says:

That star material looks nice! Can’t wait to see what you make out of it :)

  3. Agathe Says:

Amandine, they even gave him the special plastic bag. A pretty little bag that they only had a few of and that they wouldn´t get in more of. Only the extra special people got those, probably all the celebs that shop there. I however, get the paper bag every time. ;)

Mica, I forgot to mention it, but it´s actually a one shoulder top I got secondhand. I am not sure yet if I am going to turn it into something else yet as it´s a little big, or if I´ll just tuck it into a skirt…

  4. pia Says:

can´t wait to see the results of your DIY projects!

  5. Héloïse J. Says:

oh yes i saw those shoes too! they’re gorgz- but i have a similar pair so i’m trying not thinking of them!
*i luv it that you share with us almost immediately after you go back home..

    :)have a wonderful weekend <3

  6. WendyB Says:

Ha ha! Better keep your hubby away from those friendly store girls ;-)
They must be very impressed with his sense of style, seriously.

  7. Agathe Says:

Héloïse J, yeah, I do too. These are just a little more walkable. ;) Always a reason…

WendyB, they´re almost three times his age so I doubt I have anything to worry about! ;)

  8. Sarah Says:

LOVE the shoes, we are truely missing out not having a Zara in Maine!

  9. ok_hill Says:

got the same pair of shoes at Zara in Munich before eastern.. And they instantly made me think of you.. guess I was right in doing so.. Enjoy!

  10. ana Says:

Agathe: oh i love your blog,is so unfake you know? like anything but pretencious, well theres something funny, i woke up today thinking about asking you about the shoes you just have bought today! before you show the on your blog haha ,the thing is that i wanted to ask you if you think that is a good idea for me to buy them coz i love them but here in mexico are kind of expensive for me 100 dls so… do you think it is worthy for me to buy them i mean , do you think i could use them for all the year? or are they just are a trend item that will probably not last long? i apologize for my english though.thank you loads of love ana

  11. Agathe Says:

Ana, I originally wanted another pair as I wrote, but I landed on these just cause they are pretty versatile. They can go with ethnic looks, more 70´s looks and they are little rock chick as well. I usually don´t care about trends, but the other shoes were open toe boots that will most certainly go out of style soon and not be the least bit cool. I do think that these are a little more timeless as they work for so many looks. That´s just my opinion though, others might think differently… :)

  12. ana Says:

ok thank a lot gorgeous :)

  13. Amy Says:

Love how the skirt turned out, it reminds me a bit of an ice-skating skirt or cheerleader ra-ra skirt, but classier. Nice colour too, fits with the spring colours you posted about a few days back.

I showed my boyfriend your site the other day, and he noticed your pig - now he wants one!!

  14. Annie Says:

I always hate it when the weather ruins outfit plans, but what can you do!

  15. tylumoj Says:

I’m glad that your mood got better! I hope it will be better and better everyday, the spring will come [at least here in Lithuania we can feel the spring coming- AT LAST!!!] and inspire you on more diy projects;]]].

  16. rachel Says:

i miss the ol’ diy days! love the ruffle skirt =)

  17. Fashion Tidbits Says:

i just saw a scarf made out of that star-fabric material! it was so cute! what are you going to make out of it?

  18. indie Says:

[…] 8, 2008 · No Comments Oh je, I’m in trouble. Alles begann, als ich zum ersten Mal Agathes neue Zara Heels bewunderte (von ihr stammt auch das Foto hier rechts). Der Gedanke, dass diese atemberaubenden […]
