Poker Night
This post isn´t too much about fashion. But often dressing up for me isn´t about fashion at all, but setting a mood. We had a lot of left over food after yesterday´s lunch which lead to the idea of having a few beers today. This again lead to the idea of poker night. So we made BLT sandwiches, bought chips and set a table. I figured the most obvious thing was to slip into a glamorous dress, so I did, and just chose red nails and lipstick to go with it. So far I´ve only gotten one bad hand - and I found a heart shaped potato chip! Could this mean good luck in both love and games?

And that is the chandelier brooch you wore on the turban during your 20’s inspired party, isn’t it? So beautiful!

Cool. Min mann kjøpte traktor-firkort før jul, morsomt det også :-D John Deere og hestekrefter og sånt, absurd for meg som er helt clueless angående motorer. Men jeg vant et par ganger!

Yum, those avocado/ham sandwiches look too good and juicy. What’s in the top left corner of the chip’s photo - dates?

Agathe, dear, I just wonder what are those little things to eat next to the bowls with crisps? Are these little sausages? You have just inspired me to organize a similar card-playing evening. :)
The dress looks comfy and stylish at the same time. :)

Alyssa, yes, the same one. :)
Glamourbibliotekaren, det er jeg også, men så lenge man vinner…
Nina and Eve, they are tiny sausages. Very good!

I thought I saw bacon crisps there. We don’t get those in America. I like the incongruity of the red lips/black dress with the most prosaic of supermarket snacks.
Well done!

You should sell the heart shaped chip on eBay. Two sisters recently sold an Illinois-shaped cornflake for $1350.

I really love the idea of dressing up even when staying at home- while sometimes it’s nice to be comfy (as with the piggy slippers!), dressing up makes “everyday” moments so much more special! You really do look glamourous, I think these picture and the ones of the old house are somewhat Hitchcok like!
