I Got It!
I strongly believe that all things bad eventually lead to something good. After a tiff with my husband I stopped by H&M just to cheer myself up - and there it was. The dress I had wanted so badly but completely lost hope of ever finding. With the print that I love so much and already have on a shirt and a bikini. I knew it was supposed to be dirt cheap so I thought that the reason I didn´t find it was that it was sold out. It wasn´t and now it´s mine - another maxi dress. Oh, how many warm summer days are going to be spent in the backyard wearing this! The best thing is that it´s so long that I can easily wear it with heels.

WendyB, absolutely, in this case anyway. Sometimes it leads to a better relationship. Sometimes it ends in a break-up and you end up finding your soulmate. It translates to everything. :)
Enc, I will wear it as soon as the weather allows to!
Léonie, good luck! They only had one in a smaller size, still one size too big, but it doesn´t matter. Do you have more H&M shops? I find that in Norway anyway, the shop on the westside often have more left of the “loud” stuff as people that live in that part of the city often have a cleaner style. Or it might just have less traffic. I don´t know. But a different shop might be where you´ll find it.

Fantastic dress. I’m totally getting into maxis too. They’re the ultimate in versatility and comfort, and they’re so stunning to look at! WOOH!

Hi Agathe,
I just discovered your blog. Did you know it’s been featured in german magazine “Amica”?
Re the dress: amazing! I got a similar one and I wear it for 3 years now, it’s just always a good choice - once the weather allows wearing it *shiver*.
As for H&M you wrote that you don’t think it’s so much fun anymore as it used to be. I totally agree! I thought that was only my impression and that maybe my taste changed, but then I really think they don’t have so many nice clothes any more and I don’t like the way they have reorganised the shops, it’s dull. A pity, isn’t it? I used to be their biggest fan.
However, this afternoon I’ll give them another chance! ;o)
All the best!

I tried this dress on 2 weeks ago but it didn’t fit me very well (I’m awfully short). Glad it works better on you! There was a ton of them left here in Antwerp even though they really are dirt-cheap. ‘Loud’ stuff doesn’t sell very fast here in Belgium.
April 3rd, 2008 at 10:47 am
I tried this dress as well, but I’m just too small and skinny to wear it… :(
Then I tried to make my mum buy it for my prom. Haha but she didn’t think it was the right style for such an event and it didn’t fit anyhow.
I was so sad that non of us bought it because it is sooo cheap and still so adorable.
At the H&M I tried it there where still many many left in all sizes. I can’t believe that it has been sold out everywhere where you guys tried! That’s a pity!

Awwww that is so beautiful!!
Can anybody buy it for me,since we don’t have H&M here in my country??
How much is it anyway?
April 3rd, 2008 at 12:13 pm
It is about 15€ (~23$) :)
April 3rd, 2008 at 1:51 pm
omg so beautiful. i wish we had h&m in my country too.
April 3rd, 2008 at 3:32 pm

April 8th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
I’ve tried it on today, but it did not look well on me.:( In size 34, my breasts were certainly too loud (so to say), however 36 was far too big for me. :(

Love the Ethnic print. We finally have a H&M in California, I’ve been waiting so long. Just this morning (before I read this blog), I was thinking how dissapointed I was in the H&M in Orange County, and I wonder if they tone it down here, because a lot of people are afraid to take risks in what they wear. Just the other day, I asked the girl at H&M if they had any high waisted pants, and she said, “No, I was looking for them to, they only got them in LA and San Fransisco.”
Anyways, would love to be so lucky and find that dress there, I guess its off to the thrift store, for some great vintage again.
