Baking

I seem to be in a very domestic mood right now. I found the cutest apron secondhand yesterday. With all it´s straps and frills it´s a difficult garment to put on, something that I love about something that is supposed to be so practical. I can´t even get it right without help. The weather report promises sun and springy temperatures for the next week, so we decided to spend today cooking. That way we make use of this cold and rainy day and also have lots of yummy treats for lazy days in the park. I made cookies and rolls while my husband made bread.
Dress: Secondhand

Hi, I’ve been reading your blog for a while now, but haven’t commented. I think the cuteness of the apron brought me to do so today! I have never seen anyone cooking in such a nice outfit before! Your pig is so adorable. I love the mixer as well, do you own anything that isn’t stylish?
April 15th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
The little pig is smiling! I think he would like a cookie or two :)
I love your domestic theme going on here.
April 15th, 2008 at 10:22 pm

I love to dress like that when I do my house work. I even have an apron like yours, it was my great grandmother’s. My grandmum and mum weren’t apron wearers so it’s still in great condition. I love feeling like June Cleaver! I really like the way you combined red with yellow. They compliment each other very well.

April 16th, 2008 at 2:12 am
I love the outfit! The cute apron and red nails make it look so 1950s. And those cookies look yummy. You’re so lucky you have a kitchen aid - they’re super expensive in the states.
April 16th, 2008 at 2:12 am
Such a great outfit, even if it is just for cooking :)
I love how bright and spring-like it is :)

April 16th, 2008 at 3:30 am
Agathe!
First time commenting, but those cookies and your apron look delicious!
Your food always looks like it tastes great! You must have some kitchen talent! Have you ever thought of having a separate section or separate blog for cooking recipes? You do so well with your blog and your details in general, that I think it would be pretty cool to see what you could do with cooking!
Just a thought!
April 16th, 2008 at 3:34 am
what’s your day job? You don’t look to work a lot.
April 16th, 2008 at 3:46 am
You look so sweet. The polka dots mixing with the gingham is adorable.
April 16th, 2008 at 5:24 am

April 16th, 2008 at 6:19 am
Agathe,
I felt, that after three years of watching this blog, that I should finally comment.
My comment: I have the same kitchenaid mixer as you!
And I love that you wear red pumps in the kitchen. Very 1950s homewife’s manual
April 16th, 2008 at 8:00 am
That is the cutest apron. It would almost make me want to cook up a storm too.
It seems like you’re always out and about or at home doing fun things, you must have a pretty chill job! :)
April 16th, 2008 at 8:20 am
how wonderful - this time you look just like Bree Van De Kamp, the character from ‘desperate housewives’. nice!
April 16th, 2008 at 8:57 am
Now not only do I want your pig, I want that kitchen aid as well :D. The cookies look great too - is there any hope for us to get your recipes?
April 16th, 2008 at 10:26 am
Jen, sure!
Emily, sure, coming right up! :)
Pauline Joy, I have thought of it, but it would be madness to involve myself in another time consuming project like this. :)
Kim Dufort, I could never have a stressful job as I love having the time to do these things. Right now I have a temporary job as a secretary.
PattiG, I work at a place where I have to tone it down so I rather take it all out once I come home. I am terrible at making compromizes when it comes to clothes, so it’s always everything or nothing.
Kim, I should collect a few of my favorite recipes in a post. These cookies are very good and easy to make. My mom’s recipe. :)
Thanks so much to all of you! I do read all your comments even though I don’t have the time to reply all of them!
April 16th, 2008 at 10:58 am

Isy, not at all! She has a litter box that she uses. Pigs don´t even have to be taught it, they just get it.
Thanks to all of you!

You have a gorgeous fringe, the rest is really pretty but you have the kind of really thick fringe I dream about…which sounds totally bizarre.

Wow! Fab as always! Just wondering what’s the meaning of your piggy’s name “Molvin”? Thanks for letting me know. Best, Dotti
