I got a comment on the blog saying how it was such a disgrace that someone were selling a fake designer bag on Etsy. There was a link, which I clicked, and it lead me to this. A fake Dior tennis bag. I immediately thought of the vintage Adidas tennis skirt I got several years ago, and the fact that I had been planning to start playing tennis but never did. Seing that I don´t exercise at all, I figured getting a fun bag wouldn´t be a stupid way to actually take the step. So I got it. Fidgetfinds is the shop.

A little part of me was hoping that it would turn out to be authentic, even though I have no idea whether Dior have ever made such a bag. There´s little doubt though that it´s fake, but it still seems to be of good quality. The straps are of leather and the canvas seems in great condition. It has never even been used. But the best thing is the pocket for your tennis racket, that was actually the selling point for me, not the logo print. So it can be as fake as it possibly can be, but I still love it as I´ve never seen anything like it.
Now I just need tennis shoes.

This bag is the third of my Dior bags, all found secondhand. Which one is real and which one is not is left to the experts to decide, although I am pretty sure the burgundy one is authentic, just cause of the things I found inside it as well as the age of it. It´s possibly the only logo print I like, but this is it. Unless I would come across another $10 find, the collection is now complete.

I am a busy bee right now so all I am leaving you with today is a couple of snapshots of a bag I got secondhand a while ago. At the same time as I think it´s really ugly I am madly in love with it.

I love Sundays, there´s not really anything to do than to check out markets…

…and walk long strolls by the river…

…and end up with a couple of new things.

I finally got around to buy pyramid studs yesterday when stopping buy a shop selling military effects. I bought the clutch at a secondhand shop months ago for a few dollars. Since it took me so long to get around to finish the planned project, I had been looking at similar bags in stores, but what annoys me is that they always use gold studs, it kind of ruins the look for me. I had hoped that the final result of my own creation would be a little more dramatic. Adding another row of studs might help, but even though it didn´t end up looking quite like I had hoped for, I am still content with it.

At the regular flea market shopping today I came across a woman who sold scarves for $3 each along with Kangol berets for the same price. I got two scarves…

…and a navy beret. I also got a clutch that she only wanted $2 for. What a steal!

I always find it difficult to find nice tights. Many of you have asked me about the tights I wear, but the truth is most of them aren´t really that nice. Sometimes I wear two on top of each other just cause it´s so hard finding completely opaque onces. Both black and gray tights are something I wear a lot, so I got these two two packs at H&M today with two different tighs in each package. They look both nice and warm now and as long as they don´t pill, I´ll be satisfied.

At last I got two wool scarves on sale, and two wool sweaters on Gina Tricot. Basics are the most boring things to buy so when I came across these affordable sweaters I just had to go for it. Gray and navy seem to be my favorite colors these days.

It´s my first time shopping in a couple of weeks and I had nearly forgotten how much people that´s in the city on a Saturday. I was completely exhausted afterwards, but here´s at least what I got. First a Chanel fanny pack for $25. It´s fake though. The lining is leather and the quality seems nice, but at a closed look you can tell that the shell is in fake leather. I figure a fake is allowed since I got it secondhand anyway.

The silver gloves is another secondhand buy while the scarf (yay, I found one) is from Gina Tricot and the beanie is from Indiska.

I also got a pair of pleather shorts from Gina Tricot.

And at last two dresses that I got on sale at Gina Tricot (you´ll get to see them properly once I wear them) and a secondhand bag. Dresses in shiny materials will be so nice with rougher materials like wool and knits.

I went shopping again today but this time only for secondhand stuff. I got my hands on three bags, first a tooled leather bag…

…then a makeup bag that I´ll be using as a handbag…

…and at last a SAS bag. These are very popular in Scandinavia and I got one for $3! I´ll probably end up fixing it up and giving it to my fiance as I rarely wear bags like these.

I also got three hats, one beret and two knitted beret style hats, along with two beautiful scarves, one of them in silk.

But the best of it all was this sailor uniform shirt. It´s vintage and comes from the Soviet Union. My fiance got one in dark blue so we once again can be the matching couple. I´ll take better pictures as soon as I´ve ironed it.

Finally I´ve warmed up to purple! I got such an overdose of it when I was younger that even though purple has been frequent in years of fall collections, I haven´t been able to wear much of it. But today I got a purple clutch on H&M, and I even looked at a purple scarf! I also got my all time favorite eye shadow, Max Factor´s Burnt Bark. I´ve worn it daily for about 10 years! I do use other eye shadows once in a while, but I always fall back on that one. I also got Loreal´s 2 in 1 milk & toner make-up remover. I´ll let you know if I love it. And at last a two pack of black tights at H&M. Lately mine seem to get holes everywhere.

Today I discovered out that the best days for shopping is when it´s so hot outside that no one else bothers to. There are less people to compete with over the best stuff, and the sellers give you better prices just cause they want to get away. I found so much, both at secondhand shops and markets, this is just some of it. I spent less than $30 on this and the rest of it. The shoes were $1,50 and I even got stuff for free! Since Wordpress is giving me a hard time today I crammed everything in one picture. I stumbled across a bunch of gold chains, necklaces, belts and bracelets. All too cheap to leave behind, and I never seem to get tired of them. I almost felt sorry for the lady who sold me the bag cause she asked for so little for it to begin with, and when I had just a little more than half of it, she sold it to me anyway. The white jacket has the most crazy puffy sleeves which is kind of difficult to see here, but it gives it a little of that couture feeling. The belt is a tuxedo belt. Among the things that aren´t pictured is the most crazy pink/blue sweater. It looks like a space suit from some old sci-fi movie. I have no idea how I´m going to make it work, but it was too spaced not to buy. I´ll post it as soon as I wear it - the picture I took now got a little blurry and I´m too cranky to take new ones at the moment.

Even though I am broke (as I often tend to be) I have managed to do a little shopping since the last time I saw you, and it’s exclusively been secondhand stuff. What I am the most pleased with are probably the anchor earrings; they’re gigantic and so over the top!

Second comes the two bags. The gold fanny pack is already teaming up with the anchor earrings and I am hoping to spend a lot of time on a boat this summer. The red bag is leather and probably from the 80’s or something. I had to put in a fight to get my hands on it cause I didn’t at all have enough money. After about an hour of begging, it was mine.

The pink belt was just too cheap to pass up.

And the pink blazer works perfectly with it’s sleeves rolled up over a big t-shirt.

I did a little shopping this weekend, but all I ended up with was a purse that I thought would be practical for work because of it´s size and a zebra striped pink scarf that I got because I thought it was funny.

During this strange and chaotic time of my life I stopped shopping online for some reason. My life is slowly coming back together again and I celebrate my that by placing my first online order at Funky Female Vintage. I chose the Care Bears purse which is I can´t wait to use this summer. This secondhand shop have their clothes sorted by size, something I always see as a big plus. Check it out, their best selection is in dresses, but they have a lot of other stuff as well.

I´ve been collecting bright colored accessories and shoes for about a year, but most of it has been left nearly unworn. I´ve been happy just looking at all of it together like this, like a handful of candy or something. This year it´s going to change. These items are not going to be purely for decorative purposes anymore, or at least they´re going to decorate me and not the apartment. Right now however it´s windy and snowy and really really cold and all that really appeals to me is my parka.

I got two things I´ve won on eBay today. One was the Dior clutch. I still can´t tell for sure whether it´s fake or not, but it looks vintage without being worn too much. It´s in great shape and looks pretty no matter where it comes from. The second was the Whiting and Davis bracelet. It came in a huge box, probably in an attempt to match the ridiculously high shipping rate I had to pay. I asked them to send it cheaper, but they never replied my mails. Even with the big box they paid just 1/3 to send it of what I paid them. Annoying, but at least it made it to me in one piece.

In quiet moments this Christmas I ended up spending some time browsing through eBay. One of the things I had planned to buy ever since I saw this picture of Mary-Kate Olsen was a black hoody, which I got from Tuffy McPuggles along with a bunch of other items. The picture also lead me to make a search for “Frankie says relax” t-shirts and suddenly I had bought one of those as well from RearWearClothing. I know nothing of the quality yet, but they claim to have good quality t-shirts and their feedback score is 100%. The t-shirt is £9.99 and you can choose from a bunch of different colors, sizes and types of shirts. I choose to look at it as one of those garments that you wear with a pinch of irony.
