In a few hours I am leaving for Stockholm with a bunch of friends of mine, where I will hang out and drink wine until Sunday. Since we’ll be staying at a possibly questionable hostel, I won’t dare to bring my Mac, and therefore will most likely not blog while I’m away. I will however bring my camera, and even though my talented photographer will stay at home, I hope to have some nice pictures for you when I get back. Have a great weekend everyone! So long!

I keep getting a lot of questions about Molvin and have decided to put together a little post for those of you who are thinking of getting a pig of your own. In other words, this is a post completely unrelated to fashion, but I feel obligated to do it so that you know about the good and bad about owning such an animal. I have a day off from work and these kinds of days really make you see things in a different way. While I had planned to sleep in, something that turns out to be impossible with a little pig that wants to be fed, I am kind of glad I didn´t. It´s so nice to get up early to catch the little sunlight that comes in through the windows of our ground floor apartment. I can take the time to admire the new things I got this weekend. Even though I didn´t find as much clothes as I had hoped for I found this great blue ceramic vase. Probably not worth a dime, but I love the look of it.

And the Bambi figurine (to the far right). It doesn´t at all go with the collection I already have, so it was actually the first thing I bought for a future nursery.

The white flowers. I don´t have any potted plants, but buy fresh flowers once in a while instead.

And I can enjoy a long breakfast with tea and hard boiled eggs with lots of butter.

I was going to just stay in today and do all kinds of little things around the house, but I know myself well enough to know that I will be getting restless soon. I will rather go out and stop by some thrift shops and cook a nice dinner when I get home.

If there´s ever been one hidden agenda behind writing this blog it´s been to wear what you want, therefore I´ve been careful about writing about what I like and not the other way around. The same philosophy can be translated when it comes to blogging, write about what you want to write about, anything else would be pointless. This blog is a hobby, not a job. If delivering what for some reason is expected of me becomes the focal point, it does start to remind me more of working, something I am not prepared for. Let this just be a note as I want this blog to be a fun place to be, both for me and for all of you. With the number of readers this blog has grown to have, and the press along with it, expectations are starting to develop, when really this is just a diversion from the rest of my life.

I have never had a proper mobile phone. I was the last one in my class to get one and it was an old hand me down phone that wasn’t even registered in my own name. Whenever one of my mobiles broke down, like getting smashed during a rock concert, I’ve always gotten new crappy hand me down phones from friends and family. Lately, with the new apartment, new camera, new everything, I have felt as if I should match this up with a nice phone as well. The one I have now is about 6 years old, doesn’t have a camera, no color display, but has always been faithful. I get kind of attached to my phones that way, and I haven´t found a good enough reason to part with it, until now…

With the new Nokia 7900 Crystal Prism I can get a phone that combines functionality and looks in one. This time Nokia has collaborated with the talented graphic and fashion designer Frédérique Daubal. Daubal has previously done work for Paul Smith, among many others, whom he designed textiles for.

The result is a mobile quite out of the ordinary, just the kind of extraordinary that would actually make take the steps towards getting a proper phone. The inspiration for the new Nokia is taken from the way in which crystals are formed in precious stones and minerals, and they have succeeded very well. I love the colors, the shape of the buttons as well as the phone itself, everything has turned out very well. Not only that, it has a 1 GB built in memory space. Now I must admit that I am no expert on mobiles, but it sounds pretty sweet. I hate slow phones, and this space should assure that it works fast. The 2 megapixel camera will also come in handy when I don’t bother to bring along my huge Nikon camera.

My friends and family have been quite annoyed with me for a while because of my phone. I either don’t have any money on it, or I forget to bring it with me. The new Nokia 7900 is a phone that always would be there along my side, and I can’t wait until I receive mine!

As some of you may remember, my entire blogroll disappeared a couple of months ago. Even though I keep adding blogs that I have forgotten to put back up, the blogroll is much shorter than it used to be. This means that there are many missing links. I didn’t intentionally remove any of you, if somebody might think so, and I’d love it those of you that used to be there would shout out so I could put you back up!

You are of course welcome to suggest your blog if you weren’t there to begin with too! I just have to warn you that it sometimes takes a little while before I get the time to sort through everything.

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Ah, it´s so good to be back again! I´ve been moving all weekend and I am all set in the new apartment even though a lot of work remains. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love our new place! It´s got dark wooden floors, high ceilings, the best kitchen and the cutest fireplace. The best thing is that it´s ours! Today we finally got our Internet connection up and running and I am starting to feel that my life is getting back to normal. There´s one downside to the new living situation - even though we have much more space there isn´t nearly as much closet space. We will have to build a new wardrobe to suit our needs. We wanted a two bedroom apartment to be able to store all our clothes in a good way, but the spear room was turned into a dining room instead. At least I´ll be hosting some fabulous dinner parties! On the plus side, the extra space and lighting will make it a lot easier to have my pictures taken.

And since there´s been several requests for piggy pictures, here´s one of Molvin enjoying life in front of the new fire place.

I just wanted to leave you a small note to let you know I haven’t completely deserted this blog. Every single day so far this week have been chaotic; running around fixing all the things that have to be done before we move. I spent yesterday at IKEA, something that isn’t very much fun when they don’t have everything you need and your credit card doesn’t work! This morning I overslept and this evening I’ll be sitting in the new apartment waiting for several deliveries. In addition, Internet at the old place doesn’t seem to work right as I am online only 30 seconds at a time. Anyways, I expect everything to be fully up and running again in no time, and I can’t wait to be back!

From blogroll spam to no blogroll at all… In case you haven´t noticed, the list of links to the right seem to have gone missing. This blog is really in the need of upgrading, I´m just waiting for a little assistance. Hopefully the blogroll isn´t gone for good or else I have quite a job to do finding all the links again.

It´s been a busy week and the main reason is our new pet Molvin named after my grandfather.

And now I´m going to a party wearing my Marc by Marc Jacobs shoes, navy tights, Vintage Amore dress and Dior clutch.

Sorry about the bad photos. After today I´ll have more time for the blog, apart from the actual moving of course, this has just been a crazy week.

Due to an enormous amount of comment spam, to the extent that it takes down the blog at times even though I have several spam plugins installed, I have found it necessary to moderate all comments before approval. Just wanted to let you guys know so you don´t get confused when your comment doesn´t pop up like normal.

In the middle of planning a wedding and all that comes with it I totally forgot about Style Bytes´ two years anniversary that was two days ago. It wasn´t until a reader commented on it that I found out! But since I now know, I´d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you wonderful readers; it´s you guys who makes this so much fun! These two years have gone by so fast but still, both the blog and I have changed a lot during this time. You´ve been there during my ups and downs and that feels kind of nice.

In a week I am getting married and this weekend is set aside for treating both body and soul. Facial masks, cleansing tea, lots of fresh fruit and so on has been purchased and I am looking forward to sit back and relax. But don´t worry, I´m still going to my flea markets and doing my thing, so I´m not leaving you just yet!

I promised you pictures from the bachelorette party so here are some. Since they aren´t really fashion related, you can press “more” to view the rest of them. The theme of the party was the color pink. When I was a kid I didn´t wear anything but pink. I never wore jeans, but loved track suits the most. So when the girls arrived early in the morning they had all dressed in pink and I had to put on a track suit that said “Bride” in the front and “Kissing single life good-bye” in the back.
