Life feels so much sweeter now that the blog is up again. I am pretty exhausted today so I plan on watching Paris Je T’aime, drinking hot chocolate and eating cookies.

Even though I am broke (as I often tend to be) I have managed to do a little shopping since the last time I saw you, and it’s exclusively been secondhand stuff. What I am the most pleased with are probably the anchor earrings; they’re gigantic and so over the top!

Second comes the two bags. The gold fanny pack is already teaming up with the anchor earrings and I am hoping to spend a lot of time on a boat this summer. The red bag is leather and probably from the 80’s or something. I had to put in a fight to get my hands on it cause I didn’t at all have enough money. After about an hour of begging, it was mine.

The pink belt was just too cheap to pass up.

And the pink blazer works perfectly with it’s sleeves rolled up over a big t-shirt.

Style Bytes is finally up and running again after being down a few days while fixing things that had to be fixed. The last couple of months have been the most crazy time of my life. Break-ups and a new love is just part of what have put me out of spin. During this time I didn’t manage to concentrate on the blog as much as I used to, even though I’ve spent at least as much time dressing up as before. And even though a lot has changed, there is even yet more to come, something I will announce at a later point.

I realized one thing though… Cause even though blogging can be tough at times, and even though all this craziness in my life made me focus less on the blog, I love it too much to give it up. The few days it was down I woke up every single night dreaming about it. Two nights ago I woke up in panic just cause I missed it so much. I knew I wouldn’t be able to relax before it was up.

So, since this blog is so important to me, I want to put a lot more time into it than I have lately. There are a few loose ends here and there, and if you see something that doesn’t work or something that looks strange, please let me know and I will try to fix it. In the meantime I hope you all will stay with me for the new and exciting part of my life!

I told you a while ago that I styled a fashion shoot, and here´s some of the result. Regular readers may recognize some of the clothing used as this was a low budget shoot. We had a lot of fun though and I think the pictures ended up great! Hilde Groven did the photos. Model is Line Elke.

Me and my boyfriend met up with some fellow bloggers in the park yesterday; Sigrid, Sus and Caroline. We had a lot of fun, well, at least until I got sick and had to call it a night…

Purple is another one of those colors that frequented on the runway. I own very little purple (even less than yellow) because a purple overdose about ten years ago that made me get rid of most. Since then I have waited for it to become my favorite color again. In the meantime I think I feel more comfortable mixing it with other colors like brown and yellow to give it a different look than what I used to.

As you may have noticed, I have worn a lot of slouchy socks over my jeans/leggings lately. Since I only have one pair that works I found it necessary to get some more. Even though my credit card is suffering I placed an order for 5 pairs of cotton slouch socks in different colors at Sock Dreams. They were only $5 a pair, and socks are one of those things that even your mom would justify you buying, so I guess it´s OK.

Yellow doesn´t seem to be leaving the runway quite yet. Everything from bright yellow to the more mustard like tones were there. I like the color best paired with gray for fall, and even better is the combination of yellow shiny materials with heavy gray materials like knits. Yellow and black is also a fun combo that I probably will sport a lot this summer.

It´s strange how much attention you get when you dress to match your boyfriend. Today we went for the schoolboy/schoolgirl look and people have been laughing and staring all day. A girl even asked to take our picture on the tram. The first time we dressed the same it was an accident and we didn´t even realize until we were heading to the party we were going to. Yellow shoes, gray pants, white shirt with black writing, sleeveless hoody and so on. Since we realized the fun coincidence the first time, we´ve been playing around with a lot more.

I´ve been out shopping today and wore the same dress as the other day. When I go out tonight I want to wear something a little more classy than what I´ve worn lately.
